About Us          

We gather the wood from the Pinyon/Juniper forests of Colorado and Utah. 

A lot of time is spent in the Mountains looking for the most interesting and unusual pieces. This can be a difficult task because the beauty in Juniper wood can be beneath the thick, stringy bark. Also the steep cliff faces where the best trees grow can be difficult to access.   

We are very selective when harvesting the trees. We look for trees that have many deep, natural twists and a rich multicolor. We usually know what the piece will be used for when we get it home. Some of the wood is simply too beautiful to alter so it stays just as it is for art pieces. 

For minimum impact we use a chainsaw and a small flat bed truck that we park on the road. Of course, the best wood is always far from the road. We carry it back to the truck by hand. 

At home we strip off the bark and start grinding and sanding. Our shop is at our house in the garage.  Our back yard is full of beautiful pieces ranging in size from table lamps to giant logs for mantels and posts. We also have lots of landscape pieces. 

We sell both finished and unfinished wood.
